Giving World International Enhances Education in Berekuso with Support in Building a Teacher’s Bungalow and Sanitary Facility
In a bid to improve educational conditions in Berekuso, Giving World International has donated essential building materials for the construction of a Teachers’ Bungalow and sanitary facilities for local schools. The initiative aims to create a more conducive environment for educators, ultimately benefiting students and enhancing learning outcomes.
Expressing his gratitude, Odeefoo Oteng Korankye II acknowledged the organization’s generosity, emphasizing the significant impact the bungalow would have on the community. He explained that providing teachers with proper housing would encourage them to reside in Berekuso, allowing them to dedicate more time to students through extra classes and personalized instruction. He also highlighted the ongoing efforts of the Odeefoo Oteng Korankye II Educational Fund, which has contributed to a notable improvement in academic performance among students, making them more competitive. The Chief urged residents to support developmental projects and called on parents to take an active role in their children’s education by offering both moral and financial support.
Madam Priscilla Yeboah, President of Giving World International, reiterated the organization’s commitment to addressing the critical needs of the community, particularly in education. She noted that their office, based in Berekuso within the Akuapem South district, consistently works to uplift the region through targeted interventions. Recognizing that a teacher’s living conditions directly impact the quality of education, she stressed the importance of providing decent accommodation. “Teachers perform better when they have a stable place to live,” she stated.
To facilitate the construction of the Teachers’ Bungalow, Giving World International supplied cement, sand, and blocks while also covering labor costs. Beyond infrastructure, the organization is also set to tackle social challenges affecting education, such as teenage pregnancy. Madam Yeboah announced plans to launch an awareness program aimed at guiding young people toward academic success and future planning.
With continued collaboration between local leaders, organizations, and community members, Berekuso is steadily moving toward an improved educational system that prioritizes both student learning and teacher welfare.
