Problem Statement

Dago Village, situated in the Akuapem South District of the Eastern Region of Ghana, is home to approximately 1,000 residents, with 60% of the population under the age of 25 and a female majority of 55%. The village is currently grappling with critical challenges across its education, healthcare, and agricultural sectors, all of which significantly impede the socio-economic development of its residents.

The local kindergarten school, serving 75 young students, operates under severely inadequate conditions. The school lacks a permanent building, with classes being conducted in a temporary structure that is in poor condition. The shortage of teachers and educational resources further exacerbates the situation, preventing the effective delivery of quality education. Without immediate investment in a permanent building, additional teachers, and sufficient learning materials, the educational prospects of these children remain bleak.

The healthcare situation in Dago Village is equally dire. The existing health center is in a state of disrepair and lacks essential medical equipment and trained healthcare professionals. Consequently, residents have limited access to quality healthcare services, which poses a significant risk to the overall well-being of the community.

Agriculture, the primary source of livelihood for the village, is predominantly based on subsistence farming. However, farmers face numerous challenges, including a lack of training in sustainable farming practices, insufficient resources such as seeds and tools, and limited access to markets. These factors collectively contribute to low agricultural productivity and income, further entrenching the community in poverty.

The pressing needs in education, healthcare, and agriculture demand urgent attention. Addressing these challenges is critical to improving the quality of life for the residents of Dago Village and fostering sustainable development in the region.

GIVING WORLD INTERNATIONAL is committed to empowering the residents of Dago Village by addressing their most pressing needs in education, health, and agriculture. This project aligns with our mission to improve the quality of life for vulnerable communities in Ghana. We believe that with your financial support, we can make a significant impact on the lives of the people of Dago Village, helping them to build a brighter and more sustainable future. Thank you for your support
